Funded entirely by Freemasons and their families, the Masonic Charitable Foundations is on of the largest grand-making charities in the country.

Through financial grants the foundation assists with financial, health or family related needs.

Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution

The RMBI provides residential, nursing and dementia care for older Freemasons and their families, as well as practical support for those who wish to remain in their homes.

With 17 residential care homes across England and Wales, the RMBI has been caring for older Freemasons and their dependants for over 160 years.

Freemasons’ Grand Charity

The Grand Charity

The Freemasons’ Grand Charity’s purpose is to help people in need. Since 1981, it has donated over £120 million.

Each year, The Freemasons’ Grand Charity provides relief grants for hundreds of individuals in need and makes donations to nationwide charitable projects and services. All of the money is raised by Freemasons and their families, mainly through fundraising events.

Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys

Masonic Charities Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys

The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys aims to relieve poverty and advance educations for children and young people.

Children of Masonic families can receive support for financial hardship and receive grants through the TalendAid scheme. The trust also makes grants to children’s charities.

Masonic Samaritan Fund

Masonic Samaritan Fund

The Masonic Samaritan Fund provides health and care grants for applicants to receive treatment and care.

Freemasons and their families can apply for a grant if they have a diagnosed health or care need and are unable to easily afford their own private care.

Surrey 2019 Festival

Provincial Grand Lodge of Surrey 2019 Festival

The Province of Surrey is excited to be holding the 2019 Festival in aid of the central Masonic charities.

Lodges and Chapters are encouraged to get involved by raising funds. The total raised funds will be announced at a black tie event at the end of the fundraising period.

The Library and Museum of Freemasonry

Masonic Charities Library and Museum of Freemasonry

The Library and Museum of Freemasonry houses one of the finest collections of Masonic material in the world.

Open to the public, Monday to Saturday, free of charge, the museum contains an extensive collection of objects inclusing pottery & porcelain, glassware, silver, furniture and clocks, jewels and regalia. Items belonging to famous and Royal Freemasons including Winston Churchil and Edward VII are on display. The Archives are open for reference use and regular exhibitions are hosted throughout the year.
